Technical building equipment

Technical building equipment

TBE is short for "technical building equipment". It includes all technical equipment, systems and installations that are necessary for the operation and comfort of the building users. TBE provides the technical infrastructure of a building to supply it with energy, water, electricity and other services. It encompasses a wide range of trades, for example heating and ventilation systems, sanitary systems, elevator and conveyor technology, and building automation. Well thought-out planning and control of building services systems is the basis for efficient building operation, because in addition to efficiency, proper operation also contributes to greater user comfort, safety and sustainability. Digitized TBE solutions also ensure that existing technology is operated more in line with demand, with less wear and tear, and with less work. Operating teams and facility management can adjust control parameters, setpoints, heating curves, setback operations, and schedules of the TBE, similar to a building control system, and also activate additional and extended control loops via the platform. AI-based and proactive interventions can be made in operations to keep maintenance and servicing costs as low as possible, in addition to CO2 emissions.
