Renewable energies

Renewable energies

Renewable energies refer to energy sources that renew themselves naturally. Unlike fossil fuels such as coal, crude oil or natural gas, their reserves are not limited, but are obtained sustainably and thus contribute to reducing CO2 emissions, among other things. According to the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, renewable energies are now among the most important sources of electricity in Germany. Their expansion is a central pillar in the energy transition, which aims to make the energy supply independent of fossil fuel imports. By 2030, at least 80 percent of electricity consumption is to be covered by renewable energies. The most important forms of renewable energy in Germany are wind and solar power, as well as biomass and hydropower. The building sector is responsible for around 38 percent of energy consumption in Europe. Sustainability in building operations is therefore an important and also strategic decision for owners and asset managers. ESG criteria have an increasing impact on the value stability and development of commercial real estate. The aedifion software solution enables an uncomplicated decarbonization of commercial real estate by taking over the optimization of building services equipment. Thanks to the simple plug-and-play solution, all building data comes into the cloud platform in real time. Based on the data, AI-based tangible optimization proposals are created.
