Prompt

Prompt

In the world of generative AI, a prompt is an input given by a user to a system to trigger a specific response or action. A prompt can take various forms, such as a text input in a chat or a voice command. It guides the AI model by indicating what type of response or generated content is expected. The more precise and detailed the prompt, the more relevant and accurate the resulting output will be — whether it's text, images, or other types of content.

When using generative AI in building operations, prompts can be used, for example, to create specific reports, make queries to analyze operating data, or retrieve recommendations optimizing technical building equipment (TBE). For example, a simple prompt could be: "The room temperature in the foyer on the first floor is not reaching the desired level. What should I do?" The result could be a written response or natural language output, such as: "Ensure that the boiler is functioning properly."
