Plug-and-Play

Plug-and-Play

The term Plug-and-Play comes from information technology and means something like "plug in and go". Alternative spellings are Plug & Play, P&P or PnP. The advantage of plug-and-play is that hardware and software components can be connected without manual installation and without manual driver or configuration settings. The components are immediately ready for operation, because directly after connection, hardware detection takes place via standardized protocols or interfaces. The system then searches for suitable drivers, which in many cases are already included in the operating system, and finally carries out the device configuration automatically. With aedifion, the plug-and-play concept is used to optimize building technology.Ooperating data is transferred directly from the building to the cloud via an edge device. This gives you a holistic data picture of your operation that can be analyzed using AI to uncover potentials and inefficiencies.
